We are officially in the thick of bridal season 🤍✨
Early mornings, full glam, and the best kind of chaos. We’re spending our weekends getting our brides (and their girls) ready for some of the most special moments of their lives.
But here’s the thing most people don’t realise… flawless makeup starts with your skin 👇
If you’re a bride or bridesmaid, this is your prep guide:
• Cleanse with a gentle cleanser at least twice a day to remove any makeup, dirt and oil build up from your skin.
• Hydration is everything. Start focusing on your skin at least 6-8 weeks out. (6 months is ideal) Dehydrated skin = patchy makeup
• Keep your skincare consistent, now is not the time to experiment with new actives or harsh products
• Exfoliate gently – 1–2 times a week to keep texture smooth (nothing too aggressive close to the day)
• Invest in a good moisturiser + serum to be used day and night, this is what gives that plump, glowy base your makeup sits on (we highly recommend our new fav: pro collagen water banking cream by Dermalogica, available in salon)
• Avoid last-minute treatments. No new facials, peels or injectables right before your event
• Drink your water; simple but makes a visible difference
Our biggest tip?
Don’t leave your skin until the week of your wedding, the earlier you start, the better your makeup will look and last.
