Safe work has updated resources for hair and beauty on the 15th of May.

Qld update shared from Qld government page: COVID-19 UPDATE.

Many of Queensland’s beauty salons, spas and nail salons are permitted to reopen from 11.59pm Friday 15 May.

To keep Queenslanders safe, these businesses must adhere to appropriate social distancing rules and complete and display a COVID Safe checklist. If you work in the industry, you can find this information here: https://www.covid19.qld.gov.au/…/roadmap-to-easing-queensland

At this stage, businesses can provide a range of personal appearance and beauty services, but not the following:
📌spray tans
📌saunas
📌other water based spa services, such as non-therapeutic hydrotherapy tubs, whirlpool tubs, steam rooms, steam cabinets, Vichy shower
📌non-therapeutic massage
📌any other services listed as not being permitted.

APAN update:
We have also written our recommendations in regards to specifying each area and are waiting on a call from the Federal minister. We will be clarifying if cosmetic tattooist will be allowed with our CTARP registration as well.

I am sure tomorrow will bring more clarification....but the amount of time researching and trying to find clarification as to what services under beauty therapy can actually be available soon has been immense.

Even an hour long conversation to a work colleague to find nothing but confusion......until this.

Yesterday I got to help Alli's Beauty and work with In Mint Condition Beauty Therapy and Mobile Make Up Artist for some makeup fun.

Such a wonderful morning, I can’t wait to see how it all turns out Plaza Dental 😍

Alli’s Beauty had the privilege of being asked to apply makeup for all the staff at Plaza Dental for their advertising (film and photos).

I can’t thank Sarnya and Mel 2 past staff members / helpers of Alli’s Beauty enough for working alongside me.

It was a fun morning making 12 people feel beautiful.
