Parenting doesn’t pause for grief.

You can get the worst news and still have to pack lunch boxes, drive to sport, answer questions and keep the house moving… while the inside of you is screaming for a moment to retreat.

The world doesn’t stop.

The kids don’t understand what’s going on inside you. They just see mum still standing there. So they keep being kids. Raiding the snack drawer. Pushing bedtime. Asking for one more thing.

And it’s not their fault.

But every inch of you feels like you can’t do it.

Yet somehow you do.

Because parenting quietly asks you to pull a strength from somewhere deep you didn’t even know existed… and carry on until the house finally goes quiet.

When the lunch boxes are packed.
The uniforms are ready.
The kids are tucked in.

And only then… do you finally have space to feel.

Some days strength doesn’t look like winning.

It looks like simply getting everyone through the day.

If you’re in a time like this, be gentle with yourself.
Lower the expectations, keep the kids loved and safe, and just take it one day at a time.

Some days surviving is enough. 🤍
