Sami and Naji here — we’re excited 😀 to introduce ourselves as the new owners of High Street Barber Shop.

We also own a barber shop in Armidale, and we’re proud to now be taking over High Street Barber Shop. With over 7 years of experience in the industry, including running one of the busiest and most successful barber shops in Armidale, we’re committed to bringing top-quality service to the community.

We specialise in men’s grooming and offer a full range of services, including:

Well after 33 years in this barbershop and 13 of them owning it- I’ve finally decided it’s time for me to step aside- the business has been sold.
This hasn’t been an easy choice.
It’s a strange feeling after so long , but I’m ready for what comes next.
Over the years this shop has been more than just a workplace - it’s been a home, a meeting place and a place where countless stories, laughs and memories shared.

I owe my entire journey to my old boss, Leigh McIntyre. He taught me the craft, shaped my work ethic, and left a legacy that has stayed with me long after he passed away. Without his guidance and encouragement, I wouldn’t be where I am today and for that I am forever grateful.

A big thank you to my husband for putting up with me through all the long days, the stories, the stress and the hair that somehow always follows me home. His support has meant everything.
To my family as well - thank you for standing by me through every part of this journey ❤️

I’ve also been incredibly lucky to work alongside so many wonderful staff over the years. Each person who joined the shop brought something unique their energy, humour, dedication and even the occasional mischief- and together we created more than a workplace, we created a little community that I will never forget.
From the busy Saturdays to the quiet midweek mornings every moment contributed to the life of this shop and my own journey.

Although I’m stepping away from the business I’m not disappearing, I’ll hang around for a little while, cutting hair, keeping in touch with old friends and maybe offering the occasional tip or two. This shop has been a huge part of my life for over three decades(sh*t) and those connections don’t just fade.

Thank you to every client every colleague and every friend who has supported me along the way. It has truly been a honour to be a part of this community and I will always treasure the memories we’ve made together. ❤️
