Thank you for being the quiet supporters, the fixers, the protectors, the taxi drivers, the advice givers and the ones who somehow always know when we need a hand… even if you have absolutely no idea what we’re talking about when we say toner, balayage or a root melt.

A little update from our Emelle family ❤️

Hey EHS Family,

We wanted to jump on and share a little of what has been happening behind the scenes at Emelle over the past few weeks.

Our beautiful Karleen and her family have been navigating some incredibly difficult and unexpected news after her mum, our much-loved Col Col, was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour.

On Monday, Colleen underwent major surgery to remove the tumour, and while we are so grateful she is now on the other side of surgery, we know there is still a long road of recovery ahead.

Because of this, life at Emelle may look a little different over the coming weeks as we find our way through a bit of a new normal.

Karleen is doing her best to still be in the salon looking after her beautiful clients and the business she loves, but right now, her mum and family need her too. We know our incredible EHS community will completely understand if there are occasional appointment changes, rescheduling or a few last-minute shuffles along the way.

We cannot thank you enough for the kindness, patience and understanding you have already shown us. To everyone who has happily moved an appointment, changed a time or simply sent Karleen and her family some love — thank you. It means more than you could possibly know.

And a huge thank you to our amazing Emelle girls for stepping up, holding the fort and keeping our salon running with so much love and care. ❤️

Both our beautiful Karleen and her little boy, Oaklen, were born with a genetic condition, so we know firsthand the impact that genetic disorders can have on individuals and families. It’s why supporting the incredible work of Jeans for Genes means so much to us.
