Do you think the consultation only happens at the beginning of your curl appointment?

For me, it continues throughout the entire service, and even after the haircut is finished.

I ask questions as I go because I want to understand what you're seeing, what you're feeling, and what you're comfortable with. Ongoing conversation helps us stay aligned and make small adjustments along the way, creating a result that works for you even outside the salon.

The best haircuts are collaborative.

So if you're a stylist, don't be afraid to keep the conversation going throughout the appointment.

And if you're sitting in the chair, don't be afraid to speak up, ask questions, and share your thoughts.

People think I just cut and style curls, but it's more than that for me.

I help people feel confident in themselves.

When someone finally sees what's possible with their hair, it can be emotional.

Not because I've "fixed" anything, but because they've spent years believing their curls were difficult, messy, or something they had to fight against.

Then, for the first time, they see their curls differently.

Moments like this never get old. ❤️

I never want my clients to leave with beautiful hair but no idea how to recreate or care for it at home.

Every appointment is an opportunity to educate, simplify, and help my clients build a better relationship with their curls. 💛

Do you really need a brush to achieve curl definition?

While brushes can be a useful tool, they're not the only way to create beautiful, defined curls.

Here are some of my favourite brush-free styling methods!

Bonus: If you love maximum elongation, this one's for you.

What's your favourite way to style your curls?

One of my favourite parts about working with curls is watching people reconnect with their hair again.

So many curly people grow up feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, or unsure what to do with their curls. Most of the time, it’s not about needing more products, it’s about understanding your hair and building the right foundation first.

Healthy curls should feel manageable and empowering!

Thank you for trusting me with your curls, Kyraa 🫶

As a curly hair stylist and educator, one thing I notice is people thinking maintaining curls is overwhelming.

Honestly, it usually comes back to a few key things
• hydration + moisture
• consistent cuts + maintenance
• gentle, low-tox products

Your routine doesn't need to be complicated to have healthy curls.

I’ll be sharing a list of some of my favorite products and tips soon to help make your routine simpler and less overwhelming.

Also, I have an education event happening on Monday. Follow and stay tuned for more!

Imagine if every hairdresser could give this feeling to every curly guest.

My why? It's not just about styling curly hair it's about teaching the simplicity of curl care.
When more stylists understand curls, more women can confidently walk into any salon.

This is why I'm so passionate about curl education!

Share this with a stylist who loves giving their clients confidence.

Think frizz is ruining your curls?

What if I told you it’s the secret to that bounce and movement you love?
I often here this is a challenge for some until its explained how to reduce that fluffy frizz and utilise functional frizz.
In my studio, I always say frizz isn’t the enemy.

The real shift comes from how you wash and hydrate. Once that foundation’s right, styling’s easy.

And here’s the mindset shift: stop chasing perfect curls and embrace every unique wave. Ready to rethink your frizz?

I don’t just look at your curls.

I look at your routine, how you wear your hair day to day, and what actually feels realistic for you to keep up at home.

Because most women with curls don’t want a routine that feels overwhelming.
They want their hair to feel easier to manage, more consistent, and less frustrating between wash days.

That’s why I focus so much on helping you understand your curls during the appointment, not just styling them for the final result.
Because feeling confident in your curls changes more than just your hair.
