Summer is nearly here and it’s the question we are all asking… is it ok to swim with lash extensions?
The short answer is YES. It is absolutely fine to swim with lash extensions. However, although the water itself isn’t an issue, there is a few things to keep in mind.

💧 SALT WATER - The beach is definitely the place to be in summer. However the salt from the ocean is not the best for your lashes. Make sure you give you lashes a good cleanse with a proper lash shampoo straight after every swim, as this will remove any salt caught in the lashes. If you do this , then you most likely won’t see any issues with retention and can enjoy the beach!

💧CHLORINE - The same goes for swimming in chlorinated pools. Chlorine is a strong chemical which has a debonding effect on the glue used on the lashes. Make sure to give your lashes a proper cleanse as soon as you hop out of the pool to remove any chlorine left in them and stop it from damaging your lashes further.

🌞 HEAT - Heat is one of the biggest retention killers. Whether you are in the pool or at the beach, it is important to be aware of how much you are in the sun. Try a pair of sunnies, or even goggles, or just try stay in the shade as much as possible.

This gorgeous client has about double - or even triple - the amount of lashes that I see on most of my clients. This means I have to place hundreds of lashes to create a perfect set.
Sometimes lashing takes time… while most of my full sets sit at about 1.5 hours, everyone’s lashes are different 🤍
