Four and a half years ago, I opened Naturally Ready, our small handmade perfume studio along Sydenham Road.

It still feels like it was only yesterday; the excitement of signing my first ever retail lease, planning window signage and finally opening our studio doors. Right after the pandemic, the community embraced us with open arms. It was so heartwarming to see how beautiful scents brought people together in our little corner of the Inner West.

But, the time has come for me to say goodbye to the ‘Ville. And before the chaos starts with packing and moving, I just wanted to say thank you to our wonderful and vibrant community. Marrickville, you truly champion the creative path and you have changed my life forever 🥹

If you’ve attended one of my perfume classes or have bought a handmade product from me; if you’ve walked passed the studio, waved and said hello, thank you for all the love and support over the years.

These early days in Marrickville, I’ll treasure these memories forever.

And to the next small business who will take over my lease and make this bright spot their new home, I’m so excited for you!

Story time! Lorenzo’s face says it all, how are we almost at the end of July? 😳 I’m sure most families with young ones at home would agree, July is a bit of a blur with the winter school holidays 😅

If you’ve been following my journey awhile, you’ve probably seen me in the markets pregnant, gave birth and immediately back at the markets working again 😁 (!). Lorenzo pretty much grew up in our handmade studio! 😆

But, over the years, I’ve learned it’s true what they say about parenthood; the days are long, but the years are short!

I do try to make up for the long hours, all those public holidays and weekends I was away working.

This month, it was honestly harder not to worry about the pressures of running a small business.

But, I decided to put on a brave face and focus on all the things that make life more full like;

😍 Carley, a repeat customer from the Central Coast, who’s been attending and gifting my classes since 2023. Every time she books a class with me, I appreciate that she drives four hours to spend a couple of hours in the studio 😭

🥰 Leona, who attended my perfume class just last month for her friend’s hens and pulled a surprise for another friend’s birthday this month! Thank youu💃

🥰 Australian beaches in Winter 🌊Curlews nesting right in the middle of a busy building 🐣Just how lucky are we?

🥰 Museum days. So thankful, finally got to see The White Rabbit exhibition at the HOTA! Definitely one of my most favourite in Australia, clever and so thought-provoking!

Wowww how are we on the final stretch of June 2026 already?! In a couple of weeks, we say goodbye to the financial year and start a new chapter.

Running a small business right now is super tough and I’d like to just put into words how much I appreciate every one of you, our beautiful community, who continue to help, to energise, to inspire and to sustain the dream.
