I will never get use to being able to wrap my bath towel properly. For soooo many years I couldn't do this and it seemed so unachievable but here we are 🫢
Apologies for semi n**e pic 🫣

Some days I feel I over eat and some days I feel I grossly under-eat. No two days are ever the same especially being a night shift worker.
I eat so much more during my working week as I am overtired usually. When I'm off work which can be up to 5 days straight it's much easier to stay on track and have structure.

Prioritising protein makes for very expensive shopping trips πŸ˜†
I generally try and get my eggs off local neighbours rather than the supermarket.

Just got back from an 18yr olds birthday party.
Our friends son. If you want to feel old, go to an 18 year olds birthday party πŸ˜‚

It was fun even though I felt old. Anyway I was talking to a couple of lovely ladies, one who said she started following this page and said how much she enjoyed it.

Always nice to hear but it was a great reminder of what I'd been mentally telling myself the last couple of weeks, "I've totally zoned out" of trying to encourage others and helping myself.

Clearly that's ok. I'm allowed to but I've lost my way the last couple of weeks. I've no plans to stay lost but everyday I tell myself that I have not been present in my journey to be a healthier and happier version of myself.

It's a complete knock on effect. No gym has also meant no hitting my water goals which also leads me to not taking my vitamins which also leads to barely taking my prescribed anxiety/depression medication.

Having said that my eating has been pretty disciplined. All in all though I've been run down and have spent too much time bed rotting.

Another lady at the party told me how amazing it was that I'd lost 45kilos. Always nice to hear but I immediately felt the need to tell her that I'd had surgery so it wasn't all me but the surgery that had helped. I don't do it to put myself down. I just always need to be honest.

Anyway long post but what I'm getting at albeit very slowly is that I'm tired of feeling crap. Tomorrow is the day I get my arse back to the gym, back to hitting my fluid and vitamin goals and definitely back to strictly taking my mental health medication.

So much about this journey IS about weight loss but it's also sooooo much more.

Bring it on 🫢

Has anyone tried this yogurt? It's a taste sensation. I'm not a massive yogurt fan but I stock up on these when they are on sale. All the flavours are great but this is my fave. So yummy.

Have had a break from eggs the last week or so. I was all egged out. I've been having protein shakes instead, and although I enjoy them they just don't keep me as full.
Was craving eggs this morning and made the simple cottage cheese scramble. So good 😊

Just had my weekly PT session and omg I had my first ever grunt πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
It was on the lying leg curl machine. I absolutely despise that machine.

I don't know why but I felt so embarrassed. I don't actually think anyone even heard 🫢🫢🫢🫢🫢

I guess it's something I'm going to have to get use to as I learn to push myself more πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈπŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈπŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈπŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈπŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈπŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ

When I first bought these pants I could not even get them on. They fit now and it feels great.
This is the first time I've worn this jacket done up too. I'd always worn it open as the buttons would definitely not do up before.
Big wins.

I'd planned a jammie day today but a friend had a spare ticket to the theatre so I decided to dress up and go.
Felt so good to walk around in heels without feeling the pain I use to feel.
All in all a winning day.

Officially 45 kilos down this morning. 20 months post bariatric surgery.
After a 6 month plateau the addition of a GLP1 has been amazing. No more food noise and after almost 1 month another 5 kilos down.

Someone asked the other day if I regretted surgery and do I wish I'd just gone with injections from the start??????

Ummmmm, "no."

I gave them a swift and semi-polite reminder that my surgery came with a side of cancer diagnosis. I was meant to have that surgery. 100%
