Makeup tip no 2 # find products that suit your skin tone and type. Ensure your skin is really hydrated prior to application. Use eyeshadow colours that will really make your eyes pop. I have green eyes and when I use a orange eyeshadow in my crease and transition area it really brings out the green. Here are my fav products I use above anything else. Melissa’s tips for hooded eyes: Eyeshadow should be above the crease so you will see your work. Generally no liner, if you decide to use liner do a very thin line and thicken the wing at the end which is two thirds of the way in. And use lashes to give the eye lift. Be careful what size lashes you use, otherwise will pull the eye down.

Melissa’s best tips for mature skin:

Any woman who is in her 40’s or over will relate to this: the elasticity in your skin reduces greatly. The main key to applying makeup in your 40’s is great skin care, before any application of foundation.
Tip #1 i can’t stress this enough is: Hydration. This gives the skin a more youthful plump appearance from the start.

Tip #2: Know your undertones:
Here are some simple steps to identify your undertone.

* See how you react to the sun, if you tan easily, you have a warm undertone.
If you burn easy you have cool undertones. If you burn a little before tanning then yours is a neutral undertone.

* Does your Jewellery glow in gold? Then you have a warm undertone. Sparkle in silver then you have a cool undertone. If you look good in both then you have a neutral undertone.

Learn what colours compliment your natural colouring:

* Once you know your undertone take a look at a colour wheel and try to determine what colours compliment them. For example people with a warm undertone look great in gold.
