Age spots (Lentigo senilis), also known as seborrheic keratosis pilaris or solar lentigines, is a common skin aging phenomenon. It is a flat, brown or black patch that forms as a result of prolonged exposure of the skin to ultraviolet light, leading to hyperpigmentation. Age spots are usually found in the middle-aged and older population, but do not affect health.

Rosacea (rosacea) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease commonly seen in adults aged 30-50 years, more often in women, characterized by facial flushing, dilated capillaries, papules and pustules, which may lead to thickening of the skin (e.g., nasal redness) in advanced stages.

Facial acne is a common skin condition that affects people of all ages, ethnicities, and genders. It occurs when hair follicles become clogged with oil, dead skin cells, and sometimes bacteria, leading to the formation of pimples, blackheads, and cysts. Acne primarily affects the face, but it can also appear on the neck, chest, back, and shoulders.
1.There are different types of acne, ranging from mild to severe, and the severity determines the kind of treatment required. The main types of acne are:
2.Comedonal Acne: This is the mildest form of acne, characterized by the presence of blackheads and whiteheads. It usually occurs when pores become clogged with excess oil and dead skin cells.
3.Inflammatory Acne: This type includes red, swollen pimples or pustules and occurs when the blocked pores become infected with bacteria. It is often painful to the touch and can lead to scarring if not treated properly.
4.Cystic Acne: A more severe form, cystic acne involves large, painful cysts beneath the skin's surface. These cysts are filled with pus and can cause deep scars, often requiring medical treatment to manage.
Acne is influenced by various factors, including hormonal changes, genetics, diet, stress, and the use of certain skincare products. It is most common during adolescence due to hormonal fluctuations but can persist into adulthood for some individuals.
While acne typically resolves with the right skincare routine, treatments may include topical creams, oral medications, and in some cases, light or laser therapies. Good hygiene, proper skincare, and a balanced diet can also help in managing and reducing the frequency and severity of outbreaks.
For those with severe acne, it's essential to seek medical advice to prevent long-term scarring and manage the condition effectively.
