There was a point in my business where I felt âbusyââŚ
but I still felt stressed about money.

At the start of 2025, I took a backseat in my business- and my numbers showed it.
The first few months of the year, my motivation dropped.
I wasnât pushing.
I wasnât posting consistently.
I wasnât focused on growth.
By March, my income hit its lowest point- and I knew it wasnât just a âslow season.â
It was a reflection of how disconnected Iâd become from my business.
So I made a decision to lock back in.
Not by working longer hours.
Not by forcing motivation.
But by intentionally implementing client growth strategies that would bring new clients through the door consistently.
Between March and July, that focus changed everything.
By July, my monthly income had scaled to $9,840 (thatâs over 3.7K of sales!!)- in the same business, with the same skillset, just a different strategy.
This didnât happen because I âworked harder.â
It happened because I focused on growing my client base.
When clients come consistently, your business keeps moving- even after a slow or unmotivated season.

Beginners donât fail because theyâre lazy.
They fail because no one teaches them what to invest in first.
If I was starting my lash career again from scratch, these are the three things I would invest in first- and why.
Not because theyâre trendy.
Not because they look cute on Instagram.
Because they actually make your life easier and your business grow faster.
1. A booking system
This is one of the least exciting investments⌠but one of the most powerful.
When youâre a beginner, itâs easy to spend hours every day replying to:
âWhat times do you have?â
âHow much is a full set?â
âCan I reschedule?â
That time adds up fast- and it drains your energy before youâve even touched a client.
A booking system sets boundaries early, automates reminders, reduces no-shows, and gives you back your time.
And time is the one thing you canât earn back later.
2. Upskill training (with intention)
Your first course teaches you how to lash.
Upskilling is what teaches you how to refine your work, improve retention, customise sets properly, and work more confidently.
Confidence in this industry doesnât come from hoping youâre good enough- it comes from knowing you are because youâve built the skill.
