It is key to understand why my answer to treating lower face concerns is to treat the CHEEKS.
Let’s remember when we’re young, fat in the face is evenly distributed, with age that fat loses volume, clumps up, and shifts downwards (thanks to gravity). So features that were formerly round may sink, and skin that was once smooth and tight gets loose and sags.
To put it in simple terms, the NATURAL AGING PROCESS is the reason for lower face concerns such as jowls, deep marionette and nasolabial lines. We loose support in our mid-face, our skin gets thinner and the youthful appearance we once had starts to diminish. Replacing fat pad breakdown with dermal fillers (Hyaluronic Acid gel) in the cheeks will provide the face with support and volume and in turn improve jowls, marionette lines and nasolabial folds.
This was the patients first time having injectables. He has only had 2 treatments with dermal fillers and I focused on his cheeks to provide SUPPORT, VOLUME and ADDRESS his lower face concerns. As you can see by treating this patients cheeks has resulted in volumising his mid-face as well as tightening his lower face .

HYPERHIDROSIS is the term for excessive sweating. This condition can be extremely stressful and embarrassing. Sweat reduction injections can provide relief from excessive sweating for up to 6-8 months and return your confidence and comfort with very little downtime.
HOW IT WORKS? A topical anaesthetic is applied prior to small amounts of anti-wrinkle being injected just below the surface of the skin. Based on the severity multiple injections are made. The product can take 3-4 days to kick in and full effect in 2 weeks. The nerve impulses are blocked and in turn, inactivating the sweat glands.
WHAT AREAS ARE TREATED? The most commonly treated areas are the underarms and palms of the hands.
IS THERE DOWNTIME?
Just like any injectable treatment, mild bruising and swelling at injection site is not uncommon, resolving within a few days. When treating the palms you can have reduced strength in the hands, resolving in 2-3 days.

AGEING.
The most important part of your journey at ASKIN STUDIO is understanding the WHY to certain treatments. I believe education is key, and if you’re not interested in knowing detail then at least understand the basics of why certain areas of the face look the way they do. In turn, realistic expectations and results can be achieved.

▫️What are fat pads? Fat pads are closely packed subcutaneous fat cells surrounded by fibrous tissue that provide our face with volume, shape, plump and definition.

▫️How do fat pads change as we age?
As we age our facial fat pads in the upper and mid-face atrophy (break away) loosing structure and fullness, whilst the fat pads in the lower face tend to become fuller (hypertrophy) and heavier.

▫️What are the noticeable changes?
• Eyebrow and eyelid droop
• Wrinkles and lines become more prominent due to the loss of fat to fill them out
• Under eye bags
• Temples and cheeks become hallow
• Nasolabial folds become deeper
• Corners of the mouth can turn downwards
