I don't know about y'all, but summer days in Melbourne for me are all about smoothie bowls and making healthy choices. Well, doing my best to make healthy choices and not berating myself too much, because self-compassion is one of the healthiest choices of all.
This year I'm leaning in to the self love.
If you too are learning to love yourself, might I suggest booking in a massage. It's one of the most efficient ways to love yourself, and the effects are exponential. Lowered stress levels and ease of movement are just some of the ways that life is enhanced by a massage.

If you want a treatment with these hands, this is where to do it...
For the next week, if you want to see me this year.
I appreciate your patience as I adventure north and south, in my other life working at music festivals.
I'll be sure to carry the energy of and back home with me.

I'm back!
After a couple of months on the other side of the world working with the team at Boom festival, I have returned to Australian shores.
I have a couple of new treatments in the works to offer at .wellness.collective. I'm very excited to lean in to some modalities that have been calling me for some time. Stay tuned for more information coming soon.
In the meantime I have appointments available at Oshun on Friday and at .fairfield on Saturday.

I am travelling to faraway distant lands for 2 months. Which, while exciting for me, is not ideal for my lovely clients, who will not have the opportunity to enjoy a treatment from me while I am gone.
This Friday will be my last treating day at .wellness.collective.
I have a couple of appointments left for this Thursday and the following Tuesday at .fairfield.
Be sure to book in soon if you would like to see me before I leave.
Otherwise I'll see you in August 🙂

Please excuse my boasting but.....
Today one of my clients told me that I have her the best massage she'd ever had, and she's had hundreds.
Nothing like a bit of ego stroking to make me feel like I'm doing well in life.
Still spots available tomorrow at .wellness.collective

The neck and shoulders are probably my favourite parts of the body to work on. They are often the parts that need the most work, or bodies did not evolve to stare at phones and computer screens for hours on end. Those poor muscles hold so much tension and that needs to be released. Book in with me at Oshun and you'll be amazed at the difference it can make in your life.

Fascia forms a Web throughout our bodies, if it was classified as a bodily system, it would be the biggest.
I like to start every treatment with a myofascial release to ease the pressure that this Web is holding on our bodies. I often struggle to succinctly describe exactly what this process is. So I thought I'd pass on some words from John Barnes, who is responsible for developing the technique I use:
"Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. This essential “time element” has to do with the viscous flow and the piezoelectric phenomenon: a low load (gentle pressure) applied slowly will allow a viscoelastic medium (fascia) to elongate.
Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures create Myofascial restrictions that can produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that do not show up in many of the standard tests."
