Exercises Prescription 📝
Often we see an injury as time to take a break and let the body do its thing.
However when it is time to return to training following our rest, we can often find that our muscles, joints and nervous system are a bit wobbly and are having difficulty adjusting back to their normal function.
Recovering from an injury is more than just “resting”!
While resting is a large component to the recovery process, just resting and not using the injured body part won’t help it to return to full strength.
This is where exercise prescription can help.
Choosing the right exercises to guide you out of pain and back to correct and optimum function is a must.
When we think of significant injuries like car accidents, ACLs, and those suffering post surgery woes, we instantly think and see that they need some guidance.
Small injuries are no different!
Retraining and guiding your body out of the woods is a must if you want your body to return to optimum function.
Without proper guidance the body will be left on its own to decide how it functions, and often it can lead to further damage, instability, and the recurrence of injuries down the track.

We are open for online consults!
The past two years have been hard for many of us, and for myself and The Myo Room it has been no different.
Over the course of the last 6 months has sadly seen the closure of our Dandenong South Clinic, of which was a difficult call, but a necessary one given the Covid restrictions.
From there I didn’t think that I wanted to run this business any longer given the stress and frustration it had been causing me, not only due to the work itself but the lack of client interaction and financial burden.
Since the closure of my clinic I have since moved to Thailand and have had a great deal of time to consider my options, and I can tell you I miss my business, I miss the work, and most importantly I miss my clients.
All the frustration resulted in a resentment that clouded my judgement, and made me want to turn my back on a profession that i have truely loved and enjoyed for so many years.
With this in mind I would like to announce that I am are back for online consultations!
These consultation while without the manual therapy components will consist of exercise prescription, coaching, injury management strategies and exercise programming.
If you know me, then you know that I believe that it is these components that truely mend an injury. That I believe that eduction is the tool that gets you out of your pain.
