Happy new year to you all!
Some news from my end, I am hoping in the coming weeks to finally have an etsy page or website set up to sell my pads on to make it a bit easier for ordering.
I hope that you are all well and had a lovely festive season.
Much love,
Lea.

Hello there.
I'm not one to try push sales, but if you'd like to give a locally made, environmentally friendly gift this year, have you considered some Pia pads?
They start at $20 each which is a great price! I also post as a large letter which makes postage around $5 depending on how many you buy.
Happy festive season!
Thank you to April for sharing my pads 💗💗💗

Good morning beautiful souls!
I hope that you are all keeping well and sane.
I've been seeing a trend in posts regarding MyFirstPeriod stories on Instagram, and I thought it might be nice to start a little story sharing session on here.

My story-
I was in year seven or eight (I was a bit of a tomboy at this point in time). I remember it was a weekday and I woke up relatively early feeling not quite right in my lower belly. I took myself to the bathroom, which is where I made the discovery that I had gotten my period for the first-ever time.
In grade five, we were given a little talk about periods on account of two of the grade sixers had gotten theirs and sanitary disposal bins had to be put in the bathrooms. So, I had a little bit of awareness on what had just happened to me, and I had been dreading the day.
I was extremely upset. I crept slowly into my Mums bedroom. She turned to look at me, and I was crying. Somehow she just knew! She asked me if I had gotten my period, and then a sea of tears burst from my face.
I climbed into bed with her, and she did her best to comfort me.
I was given the day off of school, and I went to the Vic market with mum and my aunty Deb. It was nice to be around women that I loved.
It is interesting looking back on my first-period story and how upset I was. I've had issues with some areas of growing up, and I very muchly like to do it at my own pace and on my own terms. I was very much out of control with when my period decided to become part of my life.
I had mishaps navigating my period in the beginning, and there were times I'd unexpectedly get it whilst having sleepovers at friends houses. I remember feeling so ashamed.
Over time, it got easier and over the past five years I've become less embarrassed over the fact that my body is doing something perfectly natural. 🙌

Please feel free to share your story in the comments =).

Here's a little fun fact for you... my paper Pad coverings are made from repurposed paper carrier bags, paper/card that have been given to me.
I feed the wonky pieces of cut up bags into my printer and then cut out every wrapper/covering by hand.
Once youre done with it they can be buried in your garden or put in a compost or worm bin.
How great is that =)

Two more Pia pads are now in the hands of their new owner. Another first timer reusable pad wearer, which I am always overjoyed about.
Thank you Nic 💗💗💗

The backside of my Pia sustainable pads.
How sensational was the sunshine this weekend in Melbourne.
It was perfect pad drying weather.
Did you know? that sunshine is excellent for killing bacteria ;)
