There aren't any rules to makeup, just guidelines. The way I look at it is, if YOU like it and it makes YOU feel good about yourself then you’re doing YOUR makeup correctly.
Yes, there are certain techniques to make your makeup look like a celebrity's face on the cover of Vogue, but that's their makeup look.
Makeup is an art and people forget that all the time!
Also, makeup doesn't look the same on everyone which is why there aren't any restrictions on how to wear YOUR makeup, just guidelines to help enhance your features.
Remember this :
Makeup is not a tattoo, where you are stuck with it regardless if you like it or not. I spend an hour doing my makeup and if I don't like it, hey, I grab a makeup remover wipe and start again. That's the beauty of makeup.
