I recently had the opportunity to complete a cadaver anatomy course, trained by the incredible Dr Lucas de Siqueira | LDS Cosmetic Medicine and although it might sound unusual, it has honestly been one of the most incredible learning experiences I’ve had as a Registered Nurse and cosmetic injector.

There’s such a difference between looking at facial anatomy on a diagram and actually seeing the structures, tissue planes, muscles and vasculature in real life.

Being able to visualise what is actually happening beneath the skin has given me a completely different perspective when looking at and assessing the face, and it’s changed the way I approach my treatments.

It’s an experience and knowledge I’ll carry with me throughout my career, and I’m so excited to bring this deeper understanding of anatomy, precision and safety into my work in clinic. 🫶🏽

Why, you ask? Depending on the treatment you’re having, alcohol can increase the risk of bruising, swelling and unwanted movement of the product, as it can thin the blood and affect the way your body responds to treatment.
