Andreia Vieira Gaspar, 51, travelled from Spain to Brazil, for an extensive cosmetic operation involving 6 procedures performed during one lengthy surgery.

The procedures reportedly included a deep-plane facelift, forehead lift, bony genioplasty, blepharoplasty, neck liposuction and nanofat injections. The operation lasted around eight hours, with some reports describing it as closer to 10 hours. Andreia died shortly afterwards following serious complications.

Her family has raised concerns about her pre-operative assessment and the post-operative care she received. The surgeon and hospital have disputed allegations of inadequate care and stated that appropriate assessments and emergency measures were undertaken. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
