I am away from Melbournes ordinary weather and enjoying a sunny break in beautiful Bali , l will be back in the Salon April 21st

I haven’t posted anything for sometime, but this was a challenge in many ways and deserves to be shared, new client, unhappy with what her previous hairdresser given her two weeks earlier , arrived on my doorstep.
Strong grey hair, very white sides and a scatter of foils that were a few shades of yellow .
The hair grew forward on the sides and forehead crowding her face , so l decided to cut and shape first then tackle the colour with the new hairstyle .

Just letting my Facebook clients know that l will be away from the Salon between September the 8th until September the 23rd.
Vietnam has been on my list of places to visit, it looks amazing , lm sure it will be a fun two weeks
Of culture ,food, night markets and entertainment, it has a French provincial influence in the old quarter with Lux Accommodation
that dates right back to early colonial days .

For those that maybe wondering where l am , lm in Thailand,just having a little getaway before the year gets into full swing again .
My first day back at the Salon is the 25th of February.
Have to enjoy every day and pack it with nice things , tomorrow is a gift ??

Another year has slipped by and 2025 is here, the journey getting here is always full of emotional ups and downs, we lose the old friends and welcome the new.
I guess for those of us that are still here and healthy , we are forever grateful.
Working in a small community like Tecoma ,we all know eachother, as shop traders we provide many hours of service ,its what we do because we love our work .

Just realised it’s been a while since lve put a post on my Salon page , but today was a must .
My client,a busy mum of three
with hair that was flat and lifeless
wanted something easy to manage,we talked about options and boundaries and what would you do came up ???
Just cutting yet another look won’t change flat limp hair !!
So l permed it , lots of rollers, kept her existing length knowing it would pop up a tad .
Two and half hours later we have curls, body and fullness.

It will be so easy for her busy lifestyle.

I will be away from my Salon from June 21st until July 11
I am attending a Balinese wedding on an island off Bali , and given
Melbournes extreme cold it’s a nice time to have a warm few weeks away.
These are the things that we all should do more of, keep smiling!!

It’s holiday time for me , on advice from many of my clients telling me l should go,lm breaking new ground and going to a new destination.
Koh Samui a beautiful island off
Thailand on the southern side with perfect weather and crystal clear swimming,beach walks fabulous food mixed with cultural diversity.
At night it comes alive with beach performances, night markets and live bands everywhere.
I’m really looking forward to just doing things on the fly, relaxing and having fun.
I am leaving Melbourne Monday night the 26th of February and returning to the Salon on the
15th March.

Like many others in Tecoma , without power we can’t provide
Any of our services, there is no mention of when power return .
My apologies for the inconvenience , but it’s completely out of my control, hopefully sooner than later the power is back on .
Breaking news, just got SMS from
Power people, they are saying
Sat 17th before 6 pm as the possible back to power in Tecoma
Fingers crossed.

Another fun morning at Mjs Hair
Studio.
This young fella walked in with shoulder length hair , and l could do whatever , oh boy l love that , standing in a pile of locks this was his new look .
It was tough going because his concentration span was short, but we got there .
All smiles .
