Sometimes dry curls don’t need more hydration… they need a little detective work!

For this client, there were two things going on.

Her previously lightened ends were much more porous than her natural hair, meaning they were very happy to soak up hydration but just as quick to let it escape again.

So the goal wasn’t just to add moisture, but to choose products that helped lock it in.

We also had some buildup on the scalp, which is why I’m such a fan of incorporating a clarifying wash into your routine every 2–4 weeks, depending on your hair, scalp and how much product you use.
