Adding a soft hair fibre or powder to the part line of your silk topper can completely change how natural and seamless it looks against your own scalp. Different skin tones and hair colours absorb colour differently, which is why I customise the shade for each client.

For this client, I used a brown powder to softly tone the silk top and create a more realistic scalp appearance. Depending on the client, you can also use light brown, dark brown, black or even mix shades together for the perfect blend.

This simple trick helps:
• soften brightness in the silk top
• create a more natural scalp illusion
• blend better with your own skin tone
• make the topper look even more undetectable

This beautiful client has Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia (FFA), a type of hair loss that gradually affects the frontal hairline and can continue moving further back over time.

I’ve worked with quite a few clients experiencing this condition, and when it comes to hair toppers, I always recommend adding a fringe. A fringe helps create softer coverage through the front hairline area and gives a more natural, fuller result where the hair loss is most visible.

For complete front coverage, some clients choose wigs, however in this case, we achieved this transformation with a customised hair topper and fringe styling to suit her.
