over 50 tickets sold. 120 interested and 18 hairdressers from across Melbourne and Australia donating their time and skills coming together for something much bigger than just hair!

GLAM FOR GOOD was created to raise funds and awareness for Reaching Out in the Inner West ~ a local charity doing life changing work for people in our community experiencing homelessness, hardship and crisis.

what started as a conversation has turned into something really special. watching our industry rally together with so much generosity and heart has really got me in the chokehold.

to every artist donating their time. every person who has bought a ticket. every brand, business and human supporting this event… thank you. 🥹 you are directly helping us raise funds for people who genuinely need support right here in Melbourne’s west.

8 months of waiting, worrying and trying to will this into existence….

Massimo’s visa got approved!!! After the third phone call at 2AM Italy time we got to share the news because some can’t wait until the morning!🤣

A mentor once told me, “Don’t judge your relationship or think about leaving until your kids turn five.” And any parent knows… five is a real milestone.

Those first five years, you kind of lose yourself. No sleep. Constant stress. You say no to going to things. Your relationship needs get put aside. You’re negotiating others needs before your learning how to feed, soothe and balance everything that comes at you… every day feels like survival mode. You adapt, you pivot, you sacrifice and sometimes you wonder if you’ll ever get a moment to breathe.

Running a business feels a lot like that…. (sorry for comparing it but i have 2 so i think i can!) There’s this initial infancy period where everything is all consuming, unpredictable and exhausting!

At 2.5 years we decided to go all in again investing everything (and more) back into the business. So in many ways, it still feels like we’re in that infancy stage. Learning, growing, making mistakes but also celebrating every teeny, tiny win!

Statistically, the odds are against us. Around 20% of small businesses fail in their first year, 50% don’t make it past five and fewer than 30% survive to 10 years! And yet, here we are. We’ve passed some of the hardest years and really, are just getting started 🥹.

I can honestly say, business is a fast track to internal growth. The sleepless nights, the early sacrifices they’ve all built a wild resilience, perspective and momentum. Just like those first five years with kids, the challenges shape you and the rewards (when they come) are so much more sweeter.
