A special catchup with an old friend of Davo's and his beautiful family

Indoor Mini Golf at Molenheide, Belgi, with family - such a cool place - for the birthday boy! Then ducked into the casino in Eindhoven, Holland! The big 5.0. year old who insisted on no fuss (hence the lack of birthday post for him!). How perfect he got to spend this birthday with his mum and brother ❤️

Durbuy, Belgium - the quaintest little village, actually it's known for being the smallest city in the world!

Medieval, featuring narrow cobblestone streets, stone houses, and centuries-old architecture. And basically such a pretty place!

God I hold onto this moment so hard - May 2025, my 50th party, four months before life as I knew it changed forever. A pixilated screenshot from a video I am beyond thankful my beautiful friend Paula took (which I didn't know at the time, not until a few months after we lost you).

I remember packing my pants a bit thinking 'what's he gunna say' when you volunteered yourself up for a speech after a few drinks! And apart from referring to me as a 'bitch' here and there, you were a soft, emotional big teddy bear, saying such nice, real and raw things about me, and about our relationship. I remember teasing you saying aww you're about to cry like a baby! And you kinda did! You told me you loved me as you hugged me. And God I just feel so incredibly lucky I can hold onto that now, because as most of us would know, so much can go unsaid. We can take so much for granted in life, thinking we have more time.

This night, that moment, means the absolute world to me now.

I miss you every day my brother. Every single day when I wake I still have to remind myself that you're no longer physically here. You've taken a chunk of my heart and I'm not the same person I was before. I know I never will be.

One whole year without you here. Little Daryl, I miss you so much and I hope you know I love you. 🤍

*Sharing personal stuff on social media is a tricky thing. It's hard to explain why I would post this here. I just want to forever honour my brother. And maybe I want the world, the universe, anywhere else I can reach, to know what a massive hole he has left.
