Aldo travelled from Italy in the 1960's bringing with him the European style of barbering. He established the shop at Brookside in September of 1971. The original customers have stayed loyal, and continued the tradition with their children and their children's children. In 2006 Aldo passed the batton to Sheridan who has kept those traditions alive. If you are lucky you will still see Aldo snipping from time to time. The mark of a master barber is the ability to keep up to date with the latest styles while keeping the traditional service. We are as well known for our quality cuts as we are for our atmosphere and colourful characters.
Longer styles are in ladies and gents. Get around it! 💈
School holidays coming to a close and this is the last weekend to get yourself or the kids in. With the shop being closed for the Monday public holiday Sunday might be the last chance. Thanks to everyone that’s been in the last 2 weeks for the madness, it’s been great!

Our boy Rohit is taking some well deserved time off and will return on the 7th of November!
To all of his customer don’t worry, he has been filling us in on some of the nuances of your haircuts and our other staff will have you sorted while he is gone.

51 years of haircuts at Aldo’s! As it’s our 55th anniversary we thought we’d get a testimonial from a long time customer and hear about some history of his time here and the history of the shop.

On Saturday the team decided to go out for a morale boosting dinner in preparation for the school holidays ahead. Oh Boy Bok Choy was the pick this time and it was 👌👌. Now it’s time to knuckle down and get you guys those holiday haircuts 🔥
We are open 7 days starting from 7:30 most days so plenty of time to get the kids or yourself in. See you soon 💈
Thursday are for the busy folks! Whether you’re working big hours, busy on weekends or don’t want to rush to get the kids to the shop the Thursday late night has you sorted.
Open from 7:30 to 7. Last haircut taken in at 6:30
I’m sure a lot more guys would have beards if they knew how to take care of it. Aldo’s is here to give you the pro tips!
1. Brush your beard. Dry skin builds underneath the hair and can’t escape easily. A firm bristle brush can help to agitate the skin and remove it. For longer beards just use a specific beard brush or long tooth comb but make sure to get to the root of the hair!
2. Wash it! Don’t just use your body wash. We use dedicated shampoos and conditioners for our hair so why not our beards? Get a product as close to all natural as you can and wash it regularly.
3. Use product! We know most guys love low maintenance but adding a good quality beard oil or balm to your routine will make your beard journey so much easier. Our skin turns over a new full layer every month or so depending on age. If you’re consistent with moisturising your beard you’ll notice your skin is less flaky meaning less brushing and less itch.
Bonus tip! Please ask us advice on trimming your beard at home. We have loads of tricks for easy self maintenance. If it’s not the itch that gets beards cut off it’s the untidy look between cuts
