Beware of Metricon

Hi all, so I had a face to face meeting with Metricon at my premises. The meeting was ok and situation explained in relation to the flooding. It was agreed that there is a drainage issue and that an investigation will take place. I have already had an investigation completed by independent agency, so I will see what the outcome will be from Metricon and if they are completely different, then unfortunately this issue will be amplified. I did mention height of the slab which I got the usual reply that if it was raised the cost would go up considerably when all was need was 3 to 4 inches of fill then the waffles put in then the concrete. Other issues were shown in relation to the build which was noted. However I did forget to show Metricon the numerous thick paint runs that are still visible and a few dents in the plaster and one or two plaster screws which can be seen.
I also mentioned that the roofing sheets that had to be replaced which I purchased were stolen by the brick layers and they did not have my permission to take them.
I will stay true to my word and not publish the numerous other photos, videos of the issues of the build and that includes all of the other material that I have.
But it was good to have that meeting, and the person how attended was easy to talk to and it felt like I was actually listened to.

Just to keep you all updated, spokes person from Metricon has spoken to me. I was asked what I wanted Metricon to do. My reply was, No, what will Metricon do.
I was then told that I would receive s phone call in a weeks time, which funny enough never came. So after a few emails I was told that Metricon will get back to me on the 15th January. I told them that in good faith I will hold off of posting hundreds of photos and videos of poor workmanship and flooding until I hear from them. I do have invoices and the like that show what Metricon pay for products used in the build and what they charge the customer. You will be very surprised if the mark up they place on it. Anyway, stay tuned.

I will be adding a lot my photos and videos very soon. Both of the outside and inside of the Metricon built house. I will also be naming those who have been very unhelpful and to those very limited few, those who have tried to help me. I also have some invoices which were sent to me inadvertently in relation to, for example the cost of tiles for the house. I think you will be very surprised the mark up Metricon place. I can understand a bit but not this much. Also emails from metricon, especially the regional manager who stated that he would call but never has to yet.

Don't stress, there is so much more...... stay tuned. Please feel free to make comments about this and also any problem you have had with Metricon or other builders. We need the people to know what to look out for and not get ripped off

after fixing the broken pipe that was broken by Metrion, I kid you not, another little sink hole appeared. I then had to repair that one as well

I had to manually scoop the water out in to a large wheelie bin. Every time it rains I had to tip out around 8 wheelie bins full of water. I had to do this before work, then get my Dad to do it while I was at work and then I had to do it after work and then also in the middle of the night. I don't think there was really fair at all!

How did I over come this? Well I had no choice but to dig in the area and this is what I found, and no I did not cause the damage at all....... I had to fix this myself as Metricon said it was my problem not theres

The side of the house was an issue, major issue as the water was nearly coming into the weeper holes along the brick work. No matter how little rain it always flooded. SO I asked myself why is this? There was no run off from the neighbours property, no water mains pipe issues..... then I though, maybe there is a cracked storm water pipe that is allowing the water to seep through. This became apparent when a small sink hole developed. I contacted Metricon and still, nothing. It was my issue and nothing to do with them. The house was less than 3 months old at this stage.

It started off with flooding around the house. I just thought that it was a little odd, seeing that I knocked down the old house I was living for 10 years and never had any flooding what so ever then. So I decided to investigate as I mentioned this to Metricon and they were not interested. I will publish the first lot of photos I took and sent to Metricon.
