To be recognised once is amazing.

To be recognised five consecutive years means more than I can put into words.

As a solo salon owner, every part of Oxley Plus Hair is me — the hairdressing, the client experience, the education, the bookings, the marketing, the cleaning, the stock, the systems and everything in between.

These awards are judged independently on the strength of the business, the results, the client experience, the systems, the growth and the story behind what we build — not on public votes.

That’s what makes this recognition so special.

After more than 40 years in this incredible industry, I still absolutely love what I do, I’m still learning, still evolving and still pushing myself to be better.

Being a father isn’t always about biology — sometimes it’s about showing up, caring, encouraging, protecting and making a child feel loved. 🥰

I created lots of different layers and cut the entire shape using a razor to give her hair softness, texture and that beautifully lived-in finish. 🤍

And the styling? No brushes, no fuss — just my fingers 🙌✨

Because being in your 80s doesn’t mean playing it safe with your hair. You can still be funky, fabulous and completely yourself at any age. 💚

Age is just a number… great hair has no expiry date. 💫✂️

Once a month, we get together on a Sunday afternoon somewhere on the beautiful Sunshine Coast for a relaxed lunch, a glass of w**e and a good chat.

Each month we’ll choose a new book or podcast to enjoy and then come together to share our thoughts — but there’s absolutely no pressure to be a serious reader. The biggest part of Sunshine Chapters is meeting positive, like-minded women and building genuine friendships. 🥂📖
