✨ A Big, Emotional Announcement From My Heart to Yours ✨

Northern Roots has been my baby for just over five incredible years. What began as a dream became a family because of you, your trust, loyalty, laughter, and stories. You’ve supported me in ways I’ll never fully be able to express, helping me grow as a stylist, a business owner, and a human being.

I’ve poured my whole heart into this salon, the highs, the lows, the blood, sweat, tears, and passion. Through it all, you were there, shaping Northern Roots into the soul-filled space it is today.

Now, life is gifting me something I never expected I’d have: a growing family of my own ( who would have thought the young woman saying, “ I’m not having children, would have two ! 13 months apart 😆). With a full heart, I’m ready for my next chapter and that means passing Northern Roots into new hands. This decision was bittersweet, but I’m so happy to share that the woman taking over is everything I hoped for: passionate, talented, thoughtful, and deeply aligned with the values of Northern Roots. She will honour it beautifully and treat you all like the kings and queens that you are ✨.

The best part? ! I’ll be back after maternity leave next year, still apart of this community I love so much. This isn’t goodbye, just passing the torch with love.

Please welcome with an open heart, and thank you, from the deepest part of mine, for every moment, every conversation, and every ounce of support. Northern Roots wouldn’t be here without you ❤️

5 Years of Northern Roots 🌿

What a journey it’s been — from opening our doors in the middle of a pandemic, to finding the right team, to having babies along the way! Life has happened in the most beautiful and chaotic ways, and I’m so proud of how far we’ve come.

To our amazing clients — thank you. It’s been an absolute pleasure to do your hair and get to know you over the years. We’re not just your hairdresser; we get to share in your stories, your milestones, your highs and lows. It’s a privilege to be a small part of your lives while helping you feel your best.

To every team member who’s been part of Northern Roots along the way; thank you for the lessons, the laughs, and the memories. You’ve all added something special to the salon’s journey.

And to the incredible team I have with me now. I feel so lucky. 🫶🏼
You both bring so much talent, energy, and heart to the space, and I’m truly grateful to work alongside you. I’m excited for everything we’ll continue to build together.

I love to share the knowledge of how I cut hair, I’ve been very privileged in my career to learn from some of the best, as well as using the best tools.
To this day nothing beats paying forward this knowledge & skill to other hairstylists, why gatekeep when passion for hair is better shared & celebrated.
It’s something I hold close in my work values that we learn from one another then make it our own as we are all artists in our own right💕.

Yesterday was a day of humbling ourselves, being open to growing our skill set to the next level.
Myself and worked on precision cutting, stripping back the basics, upskilling what we already know and gaining more passion for the creative work we do, it really doesn’t matter the years of experience we have, we all need to reset and upskill. That’s why we continuously educate ourselves, we love what we do & we want to give our best work.

Watch out for this legend . It was a great day of learning and it’s a privilege to watch your skills grow. Keep going lovie you’re going to be one of the greats!
