UNDERSTANDING YOUR TREATMENT TIMELINE ✨
This is a completely normal result at 8 weeks post treatment.
When a neuromodulator is used to relax the muscles, the results don’t happen all at once - there is a gradual timeline.
💉 TREATMENT - DAY 0
The medication is administered into the targeted muscles.
✨ DAYS 2–7
The effect begins to develop as the muscles gradually become more relaxed.
📈 AROUND 2 WEEKS
Results are generally well established, with reduced muscle movement and a smoother appearance.
⭐ WEEKS 2–6 PEAK EFFECT
The treatment is working at its strongest, providing the greatest reduction in muscle activity.
↩️ AROUND 6–8+ WEEKS
Muscle movement will gradually begin to return as the effect naturally starts to wear off. This is exactly what we are seeing here at 8 weeks.
🔄 AROUND 12 WEEKS
For many people, this is around the time a further treatment may be considered, depending on individual muscle movement, response and treatment goals.
Everyone metabolises and responds to treatment differently, so timing can vary from person to person.

It’s also important to understand that the lips are a dynamic structure. They move constantly with speaking, smiling and facial expression, so assessment isn’t just about how the lips look at rest. Their shape, movement, surrounding structures and overall facial proportions all contribute to how balanced they appear.
This is why a thorough consultation and individual assessment are so important.
A considered approach may involve gradual treatment and appropriate time between appointments, allowing the nurse to reassess the lips, consider tissue response and evaluate overall facial balance before determining whether any further treatment is appropriate.

One treatment. A few targeted zaps. A huge difference. ❤️
This treatment targeted the visible capillaries around the nose, resulting in a significant reduction in redness after just one IPL vascular correction treatment.
❤️ How does IPL work?
IPL uses controlled pulses of light that are absorbed by haemoglobin within the blood vessels. The light converts to heat, causing the targeted vessels to coagulate and break down, while leaving the surrounding skin largely unaffected.
The body then naturally clears the treated vessels over the following days and weeks.
📆 How often can you have vascular IPL?
Treatments are generally spaced 3–6 weeks apart, depending on the skin, vessels being treated and individual response.
Some clients achieve excellent clearance after one treatment, while others benefit from a series.
