It was lovely to be cosy in my massage room today with the warmth of the fireplace and enjoying the company of clients I was helping, two cancer clients and a young girl with a elbow and shoulder injury from a recent fall, experiencing nerve issues and restrictions of movement . I really enjoy being able to be of assistance, to nurture their progressions into feeling relieved of their pain. For my clients interested in self treating triggerpoints with the tennis ball~ Featuring the Glute Minimus muscle..

This muscle works hard along with the glute medius muscle to support the pelvis during walking and can be often a culprit for triggerpoint formation that will often refer pain (shaded red areas) down the back or side of the thigh and lower leg as far as the ankle. To target these triggerpoints with the tennis ball, it is of great benefit to maintain direct pressure on these points ( as shown with black crosses) until you feel the dull ache or burning sensation subside.

I am only too happy to instruct on safe and effective triggerpoint self-care techniques when you visit my Charlestown clinic.

I worked on muscle Triggerpoints as necessary, and use the soothing bliss of hot stones to massage into tired and tender muscles. I also really enjoy the work I do with alleviating nerve entrapment/ compression issues!
