Serenity Sounds

What a mindful little exercise this was this afternoon! I found it amongst plants in my Dragonfly Corner Flower Heart Gardens.

A bit worse for wear it is beginning to fall apart as the little seeds begin to fall away from the mother plant. Yet, whilst imperfect, look at the beautiful rainbow shimmers in the pale winter sunlight.

Why was it a mindful activity? This was not easy to photograph. I had to stage the dandelion in a jar. To capture the sunlight behind the dandelion seed bloom, I needed two hands to be able to zoom in and focus my camera. So, looking around Shambhala Gardens I found a spot to balance the jar on top of the clothesline.

Whilst it only took a few minutes I was being creative and totally immersed in what I was doing. That is mindfulness. It helps us be in the moment and I got a beautiful reward in my unusual photos for it. I love them.

Yesterday, I discovered a new Asian Grocer at Westfield Kotara. They had the most amazing Ginger I have ever seen. It cost $4.05c.

Ginger Tea is great for the digestive system. It warms the body too as it soothes my belly after the damage to my stomach from being ill two weeks ago. Thankfully, I am much better now and am booking forward to grating and drying this delicious herb. Having used Ginger Tea bags recently it will be an experiment working out how much to use in each cup.
