🌊 Today we celebrate World Ocean Day 🌊

Our oceans give us so much, from the air we breathe to the beauty we enjoy every day. World Ocean Day is a reminder that even small actions can create big change when it comes to protecting our beaches, marine life, and waterways. Together, we can help keep our oceans healthy for generations to come 💙🐚

We’re proud winners of the nakhairprofessional Award! As part of this incredible movement, we create, innovate, and lead in style. Join us as we set new standards in hair care!

I’m often asked: “Why give a child a label?”

I get it, but without my autism & ADHD diagnosis, I was labelled anyway:
selfish, weird, too loud, doesn’t think before she speaks, dramatic, “too much.”
Difficult. Emotional. A problem.

Even with ADHD, I didn’t understand my brain.
I just thought I was the problem.

That girl—me—spent her teens & early 20s hating herself.
Blaming herself.
Even hurting herself trying to fit in.

I was bullied in workplaces, sadly by some managers who promoted mental health (really it was a show)
Told, directly and indirectly, that I didn’t belong.
At the time I didn’t know I was autistic (just “not normal”)

😔Every rejection reinforced the same story: you don’t fit.
And that became dangerous—because I stopped caring what happened to me.

✨ Learning about my ADHD properly led me to understanding my autism.
✨ Diagnosed at 29 with ASD, validated my life.

For years, I tried to be “normal.”
To shrink. To mask. To fit the mould.

😔Then I stopped.
Because honestly I had nothing left.

🧐I started learning me—
my needs, my body, my mind.
I invested in support, in understanding my genes, my bloods, my nervous system.
And slowly, I changed my life.

💛 Now I do this for others.

To be put on antidepressants at 12.
To spend years dreading birthdays & who you are becoming.

I turned 30 today & for the first time, I’m excited for the next 10 years…

💪 You don’t need to change who you are to belong.
Follow your path. The right people will meet you there.

This poem was written after I understood myself.

🥰It’s part of my story.
And maybe… yours too.
