I sincerely apologise to everyone of you that I am just unable to offer appointments to - my body is hanging by a thread and I have to learn the word 'no' ...

I don't want to have to bring this up - but I think unfortunately I have to.

Currently I am in hospital with Influenza A. The last 3 days have been wild to say the least. From not being able to walk - screaming in pain - rushed to resus, passing out and the list goes on.

Unfortunately over the last month, the amount of people coming into the Salon who say 'oh I just have a little head cold' or call and ask me 'I have a cough, do you still want me to come in?'

Did we all not learn anything these past few years? Why have we become so complacent again? If you have to ask me - you already know. And if you come in with a headcold to share - you should know better

You need to remember - I work with mature aged clients, some extremely frail. And more importantly to me (now after this week) I have small children at home. Keeping yourself at home when unwell is more important to me than coming into your appointment.

With all of this said, I am the first to tell people 'look after yourself - do what is best for you'
So with that - my hours in salon are
9.30am til 3pm Wednesday and Thursday, with an extra day with same hours added next year.

Please do not put me in a position to have to say no to you, I will no longer be extending my hours. My last appointment time for colours will be 1.30pm. I am happy to recommend a new hairdresser should you not be able to fit into those times.

For those who currently have bookings, I will honour those times.

I appreciate all of the understanding and continuous love and support. Let's all look after each other by staying home if we are unwell!

I will advise when I am back at work and be in contact with those who have missed their appointment this week, my sincere apologies

To my valued and very loved clients

It has unfortunately and prematurely come time before I would have hoped, that I need to step back and greatly reduce my hours in salon, due to the toll 20+ years of headjobs has taken on my body.

I will be reducing salon hours to 10am til 3pm wed and thurs and if need be and I am able to, I will do a half day Saturday for a small overflow - when available.

This is such a tough post to write. However, it is either this or I step away from what I love altogether - and I can assure you I am not ready for that at all.

I know that you will understand as many of you know the pain I have endured with my shoulders. I never thought I wouldn't be able to physically do hair before I would get sick of it!

Another year ticked off 🥂

I want to thank all of you who continue to support me in my small business and trust me with your life (hair)!! The love and laughter that fills my salon is indescribable and fills my cup up every week. When you come in and support me, you are also supporting this lot pictured with me. We love and appreciate all of you, past - present and future!
