Brow Game

One of my specialities is working with mature skin. My lovely client here has exceptionally good skin for her vintage (basically no sun damage - her skin was in better condition than some people 20+ years younger!) - however special care and a slightly different method always needs to be used when dealing with mature skin + cosmetic tattoo.

Mature skin will often absorb pigment more readily and sometimes unevenly due to wrinkles and sun damage, and can be very thin and easy to break or cause bleeding if the technique is too rough. A very cautious approach is needed to ensure that the look is not too dark, bold or overpowering and looks as natural as possible.

Brow symmetry and how to resolve this best is something that is also part of working with mature skin.

It is hugely rewarding to be able to create beautiful brows for people from every generation - I do particularly enjoy the challenge of mature skin and restoring the look of youthful but natural looking fuller brows for my clients.

I like to show a range of work - from before and afters of brand new brow tattoo, retouch work, and healed work down the track. Here’s a few from the last few months.

Everyone heals differently - some people retain a lot more pigment after the initial session than others, and sometimes it heals a little lighter than expected. It depends on your skin type, metabolism, skin care habits and lifestyle. Brows can easily be darkened or thickened at a retouch - but making them lighter is much more difficult! If you’ve never had brow tattoo before, are a little nervous, and are looking for someone who takes a cautious approach - that’s us here! 🙋‍♀️

I cant explain how much I LOVED working on these brows for my beautiful client. So much that I’ve gotten myself organised to actually post something for the first time in months…
Years ago, her natural brows were very thick and full - and you can see (from the before pic, below) that the absence of them changes her face quite a lot. This is a combination brow - a blend of machine hair strokes (not Microblade) and powder fill, taken directly after the treatment. Powder fill is blended in to give the brows a more realistic effect but also to fill areas where there is no brow hair at all. The brow will fade to a soft shade of brown and shrink slightly (as there was a little bit of swelling during the treatment) - I can’t wait to see how they heal! - Nano/combo brows by Charlotte
