🤍 But will my hair grow back thicker or darker?

No. This is one of the biggest myths about dermaplaning.

Dermaplaning does not change the thickness, colour or growth rate of your hair.

The blade cuts the hair at the surface of the skin. It doesn’t alter the hair follicle underneath.

When it grows back, you may feel the hair slightly differently at first because the end has been freshly cut rather than naturally tapered. This can sometimes make it feel a little more noticeable or stubbly — but the hair itself hasn’t become thicker.

💙The darker dots at the ends of many hairs are the hair bulbs (often called the root bulb). This indicates
many hairs were removed from the follicle rather than snapping off at the surface. Means longer lasting smooth results.
💙The varying hair lengths are normal, especially for a first Brazilian. Hair grows in different phases (anagen, catagen, and telogen), so not every hair is the same length or equally anchored.
