LASER EDUCATION | THE FULL VERSION 🔬✨

Laser terminology can get confusing, especially when we start talking about fractional vs full field, ablative vs non ablative, treatment depth and density.

I originally uploaded this video in two parts, but I’ve also uploaded the full version here in one reel so you can watch the entire explanation from start to finish and hopefully make it a little easier to understand.

In this video, I break down some of the fundamentals of laser treatments, including how different lasers interact with the skin, what fractional treatment actually means, the difference between ablative and non ablative treatments, and why treatment density matters.

One of the most important things to understand is that more aggressive does not automatically mean better.

The appropriate laser, depth, density and treatment parameters depend on the skin being treated, the concern we’re targeting and the clinical outcome we’re trying to achieve.

Laser treatments should never be a one size fits all approach.

Save this reel if you’re considering laser treatment and want to better understand what all the terminology actually means. 🤍

LASER EDUCATION — PART 2 ⚡️

If you watched Part 1, you now know that not all lasers or laser treatments are the same.

In Part 2, we take it a step further.

We break down the difference between ablative and non-ablative laser treatments, how different approaches interact with the skin, and why your treatment should be selected based on your skin, your concern and the outcome we’re trying to achieve.

Your skin is assessed first.
Your concerns are identified.
Then we determine the most appropriate treatment or combination of modalities - for you.

Because good laser treatment isn’t about simply turning up the power.

It’s about understanding what we’re treating, where we’re treating it and why.

✨ Pigmentation
✨ Sun damage
✨ Skin texture
✨ Fine lines & ageing
✨ Scarring
✨ Overall skin rejuvenation

LASER ISN’T JUST LASER. ✨

Different lasers work at different depths, target different concerns, and create very different responses within the skin.

Understanding the difference between ablative, non-ablative, fractional and full-field treatments is important because the right treatment should be selected for your skin, your concern and the result we’re trying to achieve.

In Part 1 of our Laser Education Series, we break down how laser technology works and why treatment parameters matter.

Because when it comes to your skin, it’s not about choosing the strongest treatment - it’s about choosing the right treatment.

🎥 PART 2 DROPS TOMORROW
We’ll take the education further and explain more about the different laser modalities and how we determine which approach may be appropriate for you.

Save this reel for later & follow FACE FX®️ so you don’t miss Part 2.

Skin treatments have evolved — and we want you to know your options. ✨

The days of one-size-fits-all skin treatments are behind us. Today’s approach is about combining therapies that work together: heat-based treatments like RF and microneedling trigger your skin’s own repair response, while collagen biostimulators support deeper rebuilding of the extracellular matrix.

We stay across the latest research and clinical developments so the treatments we offer reflect what’s current — not what’s outdated.

The best way to find out what’s right for your skin? A conversation. Book a complimentary consultation and let’s discuss your options, suitability, and any risks specific to you.

✨ NOT ALL COLLAGEN IS THE SAME ✨

One of the most common phrases in aesthetics is:

🗣️ “This treatment builds collagen.”

But the real question is…

❓ Which collagen?

Your skin contains multiple collagen types, each with a different role in maintaining strength, firmness, healing, structure and skin integrity.

🔹 Type I Collagen
The primary structural collagen responsible for firmness, density and support.

🔹 Type III Collagen
Often called the “repair collagen”, important for healing and regeneration.

🔹 Type IV Collagen
Supports the basement membrane and overall skin architecture.

🔹 Type VII Collagen
Helps anchor skin layers together and maintain stability.

Different treatments stimulate collagen through different pathways:

✔️ Microneedling
✔️ Radiofrequency (RF)
✔️ CO₂ Laser Resurfacing
✔️ IPL Photorejuvenation
✔️ Exosome Therapy
✔️ Medical-grade skincare

This is why treatment selection matters.

The best outcomes rarely come from chasing a single treatment. Instead, they come from understanding the underlying biology and creating a personalised treatment plan based on your skin concerns, goals and skin quality.

At FACE FX, we focus on combining evidence-based technologies to support healthier, stronger and more resilient skin over time.

💬 Which collagen-stimulating treatment have you tried?

Why Dr Robert George chooses Motiva implants for breast augmentation 🤍

Motiva’s SmoothSilk technology represents one of the most studied advances in breast implant design, backed by FDA clinical trial data showing less than 1% capsular contracture and rupture rates at the 3-year mark for primary augmentation. It was the first new silicone implant to receive FDA approval in over a decade, reflecting the depth of safety data behind it.

Each implant also includes Q Inside RFID technology, a tiny embedded chip storing the implant’s serial number and details, so your records are always traceable and accurate.

Breast augmentation is performed exclusively by Dr Robert George, MBBS MS FRACS, Specialist Soft Tissue Surgeon, combining advanced implant technology with surgical expertise for natural, individualised results.
