Retapes for my bestie, Correct placement is key! If the extensions are applied too close to the root it will not allow the tape extension to move or breathe and will cause too much friction between the root of your natural hair and your scalp. This causing severe scalp irritation (red, lumpy, itchy) and causes damage to hair follicles also being very painful, you want to stay about 1/4 inch away from the scalp. Extensions should not be placed too high up on the head as they will become visible and nobody wants that.
