Helping beauty business owners build profitable, scalable, and sustainable businesses.

One thing Alissa has never stopped doing? Learning. 👏
She’s been in business for 3 years, has grown from $4K months to $47K months, expanded her salon and grown her team.

And yet, she STILL continues to put herself in the rooms where she can learn, upskill and be challenged.
Because growth doesn’t mean you suddenly have all the answers.

The bigger your business gets, the more there is to learn, about leadership, your team, your numbers, your systems and yourself.

Alissa is such a good example of what it looks like to always be a student.

No matter how well your business is doing, there is always room to improve.
Keep putting yourself in the rooms that help you grow.

Taking you back to episode one of Unwritten 🎙️

Before this podcast started, there were years of stories I had never really shared.
Starting my first business at 15.
Leaving childcare after realising the security I thought I had could disappear overnight.
Putting $5,000 into starting Blanc.
Building multiple businesses.
Becoming a mum.
And then navigating what became the hardest 12 months of my business journey.
Episode one was where I finally started talking about what happened behind closed doors and the lessons that changed the way I lead, build and make decisions today.
One of the biggest was learning to stop ignoring what I already knew deep down.
When something does not feel right, pushing harder does not make it right.
Sometimes growth is having the courage to listen to yourself sooner and change what is no longer working.

Everyone sees the YES. Very few people see what came before it.

Yes, I’ve built businesses I’m incredibly proud of.
Yes, I’ve stood in rooms full of business owners.
Yes, there have been awards, growth, teams and opportunities I once dreamed about.

But behind every “yes” has been a but.
The early mornings.
The long days.
The money invested without knowing if I’d make it back.
The mistakes.
The failures.
The ideas that didn’t work.
The decisions I got wrong.

And SO many things I did before I felt remotely ready.
That’s the part you don’t always see.
Social media shows you the milestone, the new space, the full room, the award… not necessarily everything it took to get there.

And I think that’s worth remembering when you’re looking at someone else’s business and wondering why you’re not there yet.
You’re allowed to get things wrong. You’re allowed to learn as you go. And you definitely don’t need to feel ready before you start.

Most of us are figuring parts of it out as we go.

Putting yourself out there can feel uncomfortable because you automatically think everyone is watching and judging you.

They’re not 😂

The first videos might feel awkward. The first idea might flop. You might post something and barely get any engagement.

Keep going.

Confidence comes from doing it over and over again — not waiting until you feel ready.

Eventually, what feels cringe becomes normal.

And one day, someone will tell you they started because they saw you doing it. 👏

Being fully booked does not mean your business is built to grow.

Alissa was qualified, experienced, running her own salon and working 12 hour days. And her salon was still sitting around $4K months.

She did not need to work harder.
She needed a business that could grow beyond her own capacity.
So we audited everything.
The offer. The space. The brand. The client journey. The back end.

Then we found the gaps and built the structure around what was already working.
The salon direction changed.
The brand developed.
The client experience became intentional.
A product line and ecommerce were added.
$4K months became $47K months.
Around $150K a year became $500K.

Same owner. Same salon. Different structure.

Because when your business keeps hitting the same number, more effort is rarely the answer.

You need to know what is actually holding the next stage of growth back.

The new episode of Unwritten is now live 🎙️

I thought working harder during pregnancy would give me the freedom to slow down once my daughter arrived.

That was not how it played out.

I was back working four days after giving birth and fully back at four weeks postpartum, while navigating a new salon, major business decisions and becoming a mum for the first time.

This episode is the conversation I wish more women had openly.

About the guilt that can come with wanting to grow a business and still be present with your family.

About learning that your pace is allowed to change.
About accepting help, delegating earlier and building the right support around you.

And about protecting the parts of your life that no amount of business growth can give back to you.

Motherhood did not take away my ambition.
It changed the way I wanted to build around it.

When business, motherhood, relationships and everyday life are all competing for your attention, it is easy to feel like you need to manage everything at once.

This episode is about staying grounded and intentional when life feels full.
I’m sharing the five habits I come back to, from protecting my mornings and choosing three priorities, to doing something my future self will thank me for, protecting my energy and knowing when to switch off and be present.

You do not need to manage everything perfectly.
You need habits that bring you back to yourself, your priorities and the life happening around you.

Believe in yourself, sis… 🤍 Hi, I’m Bree.

I started my first business with the only $5,000 I had, while working full-time in childcare earning around $30 an hour.

Two camping chairs, cheap lighting, no big safety net and absolutely no guarantee it was going to work.

I just knew I wanted more for myself.

More freedom.
More purpose.
More opportunity.

So I backed myself.

Fast forward to today, I’ve built and scaled multiple businesses, grown teams, launched brands, travelled Australia educating other business owners and now mentor women who want to create bigger businesses and lives for themselves.

None of it happened because I had everything figured out from day one.

It happened because I kept learning, kept making uncomfortable decisions and kept backing myself, even when other people didn’t understand the vision.

And that’s probably the biggest thing I want women following me to take from my story:

You don’t need everyone else to believe in what you’re building. But you do need to believe in yourself enough to start. 📈🤍

If you’re new here, hiiii 👋🏼 Stick around, we talk business, growth, mindset and everything that happens behind the scenes of building something bigger.

What if YOU are the bottleneck in your business? 👀

Perfectionism can make you feel like you’re protecting your business.

You need to approve everything.
You need to know everything.
You need things done exactly how you would do them.

But eventually, that level of control starts limiting how much your business can actually grow.

Because if everything has to go through you, your business can only grow as fast as you can keep up.

One of my biggest lessons has been learning when to step back, delegate and trust other people to do their job.

Your next level might not need more of you. It might need less dependence on you.📈

If you know you’re the bottleneck and you’re ready to build a business that can grow beyond you, fill out my 1:1 Mentorship enquiry form via the link in my bio.🔗
