PSA: Bleach isn’t the only way to go lighter. 👀✨

This gorgeous client has naturally black hair and came to me with brassy, previously bleached mid-lengths and ends through the top section.

She wanted to stay light, but I wanted to create something that was softer, suited her complexion, would grow out beautifully against her natural black hair, and most importantly, respected the health of her hair.

So… we didn’t use bleach.

Instead, I used two different high-lift colour formulas to gently lift and refine her colour, creating this soft, dimensional result. 🤍

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is that bleach is the only way to achieve lighter hair. While bleach absolutely has its place, it’s not always the best-or only-option.

The right approach depends on your natural colour, your colour history, your hair’s condition, and your end goal. That’s why every colour I create starts with a personalised plan, not a one-size-fits-all formula.
