Six months later, Lian hadn’t put a single root colour on her hair since that first session.

And then she made a call a lot of women get nervous about she wanted to bridge the gap faster and get to her natural grey sooner, so she embraced a big chop.

Hayley cut away a large section of the old colour and gave her a reverse balayage deepening and cooling the ends so they’d sit gray and blend seamlessly into her roots, which have a lot of natural pepper through them.

Cutting the length off got her to her goal faster, and that was Lian’s choice.

The result:

healthy, shiny hair, and Lian is now close to a full grey transition.

From here, it’s not colour anymore it’s haircuts and the occasional toner to keep it fresh at home.
