How's your Monday morning?

Its school holidays in my household so my kiddos will rise later as I get set for work. I juggle candle making plus three jobs and being mum (my favourite part)

We also have dogs that all think they are people. Especially this one. Coco is my nearly 11yo Chocolate Labrador. She is currently sound asleep with her head on a pillow next to me. Our other two dogs are curled up on my feet. I also have a duck somewhere waiting outside for breakfast 😂

Coco currently smells like Champagne and Strawberries after a collision with a room spray bottle.

On that note, our products are all animal and kid friendly 😊

Well, I thought after a really long time that it is possibly time for a meet the maker post. Especially as I have been getting around to new people and places to show them my products.

Some of you already know me, some...very well. I am Rachel, Chandler/Owner and Operator of Atelier Natural Soy Candles and Melts. I started making soy candles for myself nearly 13 years ago when I was home with a prem baby that I was having to feed two hourly for months, I had PND with a beautiful big old Golden Retriever at my side whilst hubby was working as a Chef. It kept me sane, the house smelt amazing.

I had investigated what was in paraffin wax, even the food grade Paraffin...the contents...not ideal. For a period of time I switched to Coco Soy but am back to using 100% Natural soy with maximum fragrance load for wonderful warm and cold fragrance throw.

Life occasionally throws us lemons. Some are totally rotten. I lost my hubby to Multiple Myeloma just over two years ago. Watching your favourite person get sick and ultimately take their last breathe is profoundly life changing. Dealing with grief plus propping myself up to help the kids deal with losing their Dad...I wouldn't wish on anyone. But. We keep going.

Fragrance can do amazing things to your brain. It can bring back memories, make you feel good, make you smile and of course on the other side of this, they can almost immediately conjure up a headache of migraine proportions. Slightly unfortunate

I love that people love my candles, that they have a favourite fragrance and as gifts they make people happy.

I do have a favourite of favourites, Magnolia Blossom 🌸 it also happens to be on my logo. Magnolias hold a special place in my heart. A story for another day.
