This client came to us after having hair extensions done at another salon — and this is what we found.

The bonds were far too large, and there were issues with the direction of the extensions.

Some bonds had an extremely small amount of natural hair attached to them, creating too much tension — in some areas, the natural hair was even being pulled out.

The entire bottom row was also missing, even though there was enough space to safely install a full additional row.

We then reinstalled the extensions using the correct bond size, the right amount of natural hair in each section, and proper spacing between the bonds.

6 hours of work — and we had to cancel the appointment.

We prepared the hair for our client: carefully capsule by capsule, then coloured it to create the perfect shade.

The whole preparation process took 6 hours.

But only after colouring and drying the hair, we noticed something we could not ignore — the hair had become severely damaged. It was breaking and shedding much more than it should.

At that point, we made the only decision we could.

We cancelled the installation.

We simply cannot install hair on a client when we are not 100% confident in its quality.

This has never happened to us before, but our clients’ trust and the quality of our work will always come first — even if it means losing 6 hours of work.

So we rescheduled the appointment, and we will prepare a completely new set of hair that meets our quality standards and, most importantly, will make our client happy with the final result.

Sometimes, being a professional means knowing when NOT to proceed.
