I have been a reflexologist for 10 years now and have clients who have been with me for almost since the beginning of my reflexology journey. They have made their life style choice then already. Regular treatments are very important for them.

During the last two years popularity of reflexology has grown immensely in my practice - what is the cause?
Studies have shown that stress can cause health problems. Repeated stress has an impact not only on physical but also emotional and mental conditions.

Three years have passed since the rebates from Private Health Care providers have been cut for natural therapies. Is it just me or do you also think it is now more than ever we should get our voted government to do something FOR US instead of taking away from us?

Following a huge public outcry via YHYC prior to the 2019 Federal election, the Minister for Health, Greg Hunt, ordered a 'review update' of 16 natural therapies with a view to reinstating rebates. The new review was scheduled for completion by 2020.

Instead, it has become buried in red tape and won’t be finished for years – if ever. Even then, there's no guarantee rebates will be restored for all, if any, natural therapies. The Government is hoping no-one’s noticed.

Minister Hunt has already set a precedent by allowing Massage & Myotherapy to keep attracting rebates, despite the previous government review reporting there was ‘no conclusive evidence’. The public and private health insurers are now asking for a level playing field across all natural therapies.

With a Federal election just around the corner and the Government lagging in the polls, NOW is the time to have your say and ask Greg Hunt MP and your Federal MPs to restore rebates for natural therapies.

It’s what the community and private insurers want. Tell the Government to stop interfering!
