What works beautifully for one person may be completely wrong for another. Your age, skin history, lifestyle, hormones, barrier health and what you actually want to achieve all matter.

That’s why we don’t believe in pushing the latest treatment simply because it’s popular.

Sometimes your skin needs an advanced treatment.
Sometimes it needs strengthening and repair.
And sometimes, it needs us to do less, not more.

Our approach has always been to look at your skin as an individual, educate you about what it needs, and recommend what we genuinely believe will benefit it.

2014 me was worried about what I’d look like in 10 years…

Then 10 years later, here I am. ❤️

Did I stop ageing? Of course not.

But what I learned over those 10 years completely changed the way I think about ageing and skin.

For me, it comes down to the 80/20 rule.

80% is what you do at home.
Consistent skincare that actually suits your skin. Looking after your barrier. SPF. Using the right actives at the right strength — and not constantly chasing the latest skincare trend.

20% is what we do in clinic.
Treatments like microneedling, RF Collagen Therapy, LED and peels can do things skincare alone can’t, but they’re there to support your skin — not replace good daily habits.

I’m 10 years older in the second photo.

I have lines. I have texture. My skin has changed.

But strangely enough, I’m less worried about ageing now than I was 10 years ago.

Because I’ve realised the goal isn’t to stop ageing.

It’s to look after the skin you’re in, so you can feel good in it as it changes.

10 years older. A lot more educated. And far less afraid of ageing. ❤️

Ageing gracefully doesn’t mean doing nothing. 😉

It also doesn’t mean trying to look 25 again!

Want your microneedling to feel a little more comfortable? 👀

What you do before your appointment can make a difference to how sensitive your skin feels on the day.

A few things worth knowing:

🍷 Skip the alcohol the day before. Alcohol can contribute to dehydration, flushing and increased skin sensitivity — and may make you more prone to bruising.

☕ Go easy on excessive caffeine beforehand. If you already feel anxious or sensitive, a big caffeine hit probably isn’t helping.

💧 Come well hydrated. Think of this as part of your treatment prep, not something you start five minutes before you arrive.

🌸 Consider where you are in your menstrual cycle. Some women find their pain sensitivity increases in the days leading up to and during their period. It doesn’t mean you can’t have microneedling then, but if you know you’re particularly sensitive at that time, you may prefer to book for another week.

🔥 Don’t arrive with already-irritated skin. Over-exfoliating or using strong actives immediately beforehand can leave your barrier more reactive. Follow the pre-treatment instructions we give you for retinoids, acids and other active products.

☀️ Avoid turning up sunburnt or freshly sun-exposed. If your skin is already hot, inflamed or compromised, we may need to postpone your treatment.

And most importantly — tell us if something feels too uncomfortable. Microneedling should be controlled, considered and adjusted to the individual skin. More pain does NOT equal better results.
