It took me a long time to stop feeling guilty about charging what we’re worth.

For years, our industry has been made to feel like we’re “too expensive,” and many of us have felt pressured to discount our services to keep clients happy but when we discount our prices, we’re also discounting our skills, our experience and the value we bring.
The reality is that charging incorrectly leads to significant profit loss and makes it impossible to build a sustainable business.

Earlier in the year, we attended a business conference that completely shifted our mindset. We@realised we shouldn’t price our services based on our postcode or out of fear of what people might think. We should price our services based on the value we provide.

We thought it was the perfect time to properly introduce the incredible team behind KMT Hair Artistry. From familiar faces to our newest additions, every single person plays a huge part in creating the experience you know and love.

We’re also excited to officially welcome Rand and Chanaye to the team!
✨ Rand is our Hair Extension Specialist & Stylist, specialising in weft and tape extensions. While already an incredible extension artist, she’ll also be expanding her skills across all areas of hairdressing as she begins TAFE next year.
✨ Chanaye is our newest full-time first-year apprentice and has just started her hairdressing journey with us. We can’t wait to watch her learn, grow and become an amazing stylist.

The name & face behind KMT Hair Artistry🤍
Kirsty is the Founder, Creative Director and Blonde Specialist at KMT. For the past 13 years, she’s poured her heart into building a salon where beautiful hair, genuine connections and a supportive team culture come first.
She loves creating beautiful hair, just as much as mentoring and educating her team. She is always investing in the latest education, techniques and products to make sure every client receives the best experience while helping the next generation of stylists grow with confidence.
