Hello Koa Fam ❤️
I just wanted to give you all a little update on my availability over the next couple of months.
From now until 13th June, I'll be off enjoying a family holiday in Thailand, making memories and taking some much needed time to recharge. ☀️✈️
Then, from 24th June until 6th August, I'll be taking medical leave as I undergo a hysterectomy and focus on my recovery. 👏👏
While surgery is never something to take lightly, I am honestly feeling more excited than nervous 🥳
I'm ready for this next chapter, ready to put my health first, and looking forward to living with less pain and more freedom. It feels like a fresh start, and I couldn't be more ready.
One of the hardest parts about taking this time away is being away from all of you. Over the years, so many of my clients have become so much more than clients. You've become friends and in many ways, extended family. I feel incredibly lucky to have built a business surrounded by such genuine, caring, and wonderful people.
I hope you all know just how much I truly adore each and every one of you. Thank you for sharing your lives, your stories, your laughs, your tears, and your trust with me. It is something I never take for granted.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support while I'm away. I plan on using this time to rest, heal properly, and come back refreshed, healthy, and ready to see all your beautiful faces again.
I already can't wait to be back in August and catch up with you all. ❤️

For every woman out there… please, believe yourself… even when no one else does.
Keep going. Keep searching until you find someone who truly listens, who understands, who genuinely cares.
I’m not sharing this for likes or attention. I’m sharing this to hopefully help someone else who feels as lost as I did.
When I was 15, I was admitted to hospital not once, but twice. I had a deep, stabbing pain in my right abdomen that was so intense I would fall to the floor.
They couldn’t find anything wrong. I was sure they thought I was making it up. So I never spoke about the stabbing pain again… not until over a decade later, when it became so bad it would make me vomit.
Fast forward 15 years… hello 2020 👋…
With the love and support of my husband, I finally started looking for answers. I knew something was seriously wrong with my body. The pain kept getting worse. It would knock me to the floor or make me double over. The symptoms were endless and confusing, and no one could piece them together.
I had a colonoscopy. An endoscopy. Full body scans. Nothing.
Then, through talking to other women, I became convinced it was endometriosis. I felt so relieved to have an answer to not feel dramatic. So I had a laparoscopy, convinced this was it… convinced they would reassure me.
But it wasn’t the case.
Instead, I was told it was “all in my head.” That my body was “textbook perfect.”
I can’t even explain what that does to a person.
I started to question everything my sanity, my pain, myself.
I tried everything I could. Some things helped briefly… diet, exercise, slowing down. Bowen gave me a few days of relief, but the inflammation kept building. My legs started swelling. The pressure in my pelvis felt unbearable, like it might explode. I had a scan—no sign of adenomyosis. So still, I told myself… maybe they’re right. Maybe it is all in my head.
My mental health really suffered. It got harder to act happy. It got harder to fake perfection. I was exhausted—mentally and physically.
I got sicker. And more afraid.
Too afraid to see another specialist. Too afraid to be dismissed again. Too afraid to be told I was dramatic, or that it was “just fibromyalgia.” There is something deeply painful about being made to feel like you’re imagining the kind of pain that brings you to your knees.
For the last five years, I felt like I was losing my mind.
Then last week, everything changed.
I saw a gynaecologist, something my GP pushed for, but something I swore I’d never do again, especially not with a male doctor after my last experience. I walked in guarded, ready to leave the second I felt dismissed.
But this time… it was different.
He listened. Really listened. He understood. He didn’t interrupt, dismiss, or minimise. He saw me. Not just a list of symptoms. He told me he wouldn’t make decisions for me. He gave me options, explained everything, and treated me like I had a voice in my own body.
For the first time in years… I felt safe.
By the end of that appointment, I said something I never thought I would again:
I asked for surgery.
He said, “Are you free tomorrow?”
I said, “Yes.”
I was terrified. Last time, my recovery felt like I’d been torn apart. I told him that. I told him how scared I was. And he promised me it wasn’t in my head. He told me some surgeons simply don’t recognise endometriosis, even when it’s right in front of them.
And this time… he didn’t miss it.
What he found was validating and heartbreaking all at once.
My uterus is extremely thick and “boggy,” pointing toward adenomyosis (still waiting on biopsy results). I’m covered in endometriosis. Not the worst he’s seen, but close. And on top of that, I have pelvic congestion… large varicose veins running through my uterus.
He removed as much endometriosis as he could, but there’s more to discuss. A hysterectomy is now likely on the table.
And yet… despite all of that…
I feel relief.
Because I finally have answers.
I’m home now a little sore, but nothing like before. No “bear attack” recovery this time. Just a body that finally feels heard.
If you’re reading this and you feel like no one believes you… please don’t give up!
You are not crazy.
You are not dramatic.
You are not imagining your pain.
Keep going until someone listens.
Because the right person will.
This photo was for a friend my not-so-impressed face because I wasn’t able to eat anything they gave me in hospital 😄😄 I think the look says it all!

Hi Koa fam!
I’m back from an amazing holiday and I’m a bit swamped catching up. It might take me a little while to reply and lock in appointments, but I’ll get to you as soon as I can.
Thanks for your patience! 🌸

Hey Koa fam!
I might be a little slower than usual to respond. Yep, you heard me! 🐌😊 If it's humanly possible! 🙃
🥳 I'm off now until the 22nd April to spend some downtime with my little people... while they're still little! 🙈💖
Happy Easter 🐰

I've noticed a lot of fitness influencers on Insta suggesting people cut out extras on their food 🙅♀️ – like toppings on salads or in smoothie bowls. They say things like, 'You might be adding unnecessary calories,' and 'Your body might not need that much.' 🙄 But I think we need those extras! 🙌
Seriously, nuts, berries, and healthy fats are important! Berries are full of antioxidants (hello, healthy skin! ✨), nuts are great for brain health 🧠 and keeping your energy levels stable 💪, and coconut can support your immune system 🛡️ and digestion. 🥥 We should focus on fueling our bodies with nutrients! ⛽
It's interesting how much focus there is on external care, like using fancy creams and products on our skin, but sometimes meals are kept very basic and low-calorie with few nutrients. 🤦♀️ While your skin might look good, it’s also important to consider what’s happening inside. 🤔
And if your skin isn't looking its best, I'd always start with the gut! Do yourself a favour and Google "microbiome"! Everyone should know this word! It's your own personal garden, and nourishing it should be your number one priority! To get the physical health, mental health, glowing skin, and fitness results you want, it’s important to nourish your body properly and feel good from the inside out! 💖

Fantastic news, Koa fam 🎉
Groundbreaking research is finally shedding light on women's unique physiology. For too long, studies have predominantly focused on men, overlooking the distinct differences in our bodies. 🤦♀️ Now, we're being seen and understood in a whole new way! 👀 This is a game-changer for women's health and well-being. 💖
The implications of this research are vast. Helping us to understand our specific health needs, this knowledge will empower us to make more informed decisions about our care. 💪 It's time to celebrate this progress and take an active role in learning about the science behind our bodies. 👩🔬
I highly recommend diving into this research – it's an investment in your health and a step towards a future where women's health is prioritised and understood. 🌟 Trust me, this is worth your precious time!

I absolutely love this quote!
Sometimes, we forget that we have just this one life—one chance to enjoy all the little things that truly make us happy!
I've made it my mission to create those small joys and prioritise what matters to me and my family!
Do you have old hobbies, friendships, or family moments that you miss but feel like you don’t have time for anymore?
Maybe it's your time to make things happen?
This is a gentle reminder that tomorrow isn't guaranteed, so let's aim to leave this world with a smile! Remember, you are the one who chooses your path, so make sure to choose the one that brings you happiness!

Do you ever have one of those weeks where everything just feels right?
You know you're making a difference in the work you do!
The kind words and thank yous remind you how fortunate you are to help others 💗
That's exactly how I've felt this week. I feel incredibly lucky to have my dream job, to help, and to know such amazing people.
Yesterday, I had the joy of meeting this little man! I've been working with his mum for almost two years, and I was so excited to finally meet him!
He’s the happiest little lad! As you can see from my face, I was absolutely smitten!
He had his first Bowen session, and I even got a snuggle! I have to say, it was the highlight of my day (don't tell the puppies 🐶🐶).
Enjoy your Sunday Koa family 😘

Time seems to slow down during the school holidays, and I cherish the quality moments with the kids—listening to their stories, laughing, and playing together. Just yesterday, we were swinging on rope swings, jumping off jetties, and enjoying giant ice creams! It's been truly wonderful!
