Apparently I’m really bad at recounting our salt therapy sessions sorry 🤦‍♀️ Anyone else feel like life is so hectic at the moment??
We had 2 sessions last week. I had hoped we would get there 3 x a week but with sport & other appt’s we just haven’t got there for the third session!
After our sessions last Tuesday I coughed a bit which seemed to be a good thing as my nose then started to clear up & my cough settled down.
Hollys cough still sounds terrible when she does cough but since the 2 sessions it is much less frequent!
I still have pain around my right eye from my sinus but i do feel like it’s getting better...slowly!!
Jett’s nose & cough cleared up for a few days however his runny nose has started again! 🙄🙄 he had the flu shot last Thursday so don’t know if it has anything to do with it?! No other symptoms other than a runny nose & congested cough.
We are heading back there this afternoon!!!

Hi everyone, I apologize for not keeping you up to date on our salt therapy sessions! Our week didn’t quite go to plan.
We had our second session on Monday which was good. However, Holly then got a cough by Wednesday & struggled really bad that we couldn’t go to our next appointment on Thursday!
For anyone that knows her it was the horrible croup/barking cough that she gets! We nearly ended up in hospital but thankfully managed to avoid it. She is on the mend now and it has settled down a lot so fingers crossed we will be right to go back on Tuesday.
Although the salt is good for coughs, it can make you cough more while you are there as the salt breaks up all the congestion so we couldn’t risk her coughing anymore than what she was already!
So, here’s hoping I will have better results this week!
P.S I have a sinus infection now too😫😫😫

I decided I will do an update after each Salt therapy session for those of you that are interested!! So...

Session 1:

Although there’s not much to report progress wise after our first session, i can say that while we were in there I could actually feel the salt going into my lungs when I took a deep breath in! There is a fan that blows salt out in to the air so you’re literally sitting there surrounded by salt! The session went for 45 mins & you literally just sit there doing whatever you want & let the salt do its thing!
The kids had heaps of toys, diggers, buckets, shovels, a play kitchen, Netflix, train table,
a tent, beanbags & lounge chairs!
There is a seperate adults room that is purely relaxation so not Netflix or toys🤪 but obviously I have to go in the kids room to supervise them!
The salt therapist suggested we go 3 x a week to get the best results!
Pricing is pretty good $139 for the 3 of us and that gets us as many sessions as we like for the next 4 weeks! I thought it was a bargain really!!?

So, I hope my updates will be helpful for those of you that are interested in knowing more!

Today the kids & I are trialing salt therapy!!! Who’s done it & what is your experience? I’m loving it so far...kids are loving the salt all over the floor like a sand pit & I’m reclined in a chair with my feet up watching! Good start to the weekend!

My weekend in Canberra flew by!!! Listened to some interesting speakers who are amazingly clever, had great time at the gala dinner last night (man, massage therapists know how to dance & party😉😉)
& then made the trek back home this afternoon! Got to share it with my friend, who actually inspired me to become a massage therapist all those years ago after receiving many massages off her!! It’s great to have someone to share it with & have some fun with whilst still learning new things, plus it’s a kid free weekend away👏👏! Next year we’re off to SA! 🥳💆‍♀️💃🏼🥂

Arrived in Canberra yesterday for the annual Massage & Myotherapy conference. Getting ready for the gala dinner now & then another day tomorrow!
