Hoping for a complete removal but worried about scarring? You are not alone, it is one of the most common things clients ask us about. 😌
The good news is scarring from laser is very rare when the laser is used correctly, with the right settings, and the appropriate aftercare is followed. Sometimes scarring is already there from when the tattoo was first done, and if so, it stays once the ink is gone.
In this one, you can see some shadowing still remaining, so we went in for a final treatment to reach complete removal. 🙌

Grey wash tattoos are some of the fastest to respond to laser, and it comes down to how the ink sits in the skin.
Instead of being packed densely like a bold black tattoo, grey wash is diluted and shallow, so there’s far less ink for your body to break down and clear. Less ink means fewer sessions and quicker fading. 🙂↕️

11 treatments in on this deep, blown out tattoo! When ink is packed in this densely patience is everything. You can also see scarring on the original tattoo. We’re always honest that scarring is generally permanent but in this case the laser has softened some of it along the way. 👏🏼

Sometimes it oxidises and we then treat that oxidised ink. Other times it simply lifts and clears more easily without oxidising. This is due to the ingredients in the pigment and is often unknown until we test patch.
