Spring Skin Reset: what does your skin need after winter?
Our beauty therapists are really noticing a lot of dull, dry and dehydrated skin this time of the year….and it’s really normal!
Cold, windy conditions, low humidity, heating and frequent hot showers can all contribute to increased moisture loss from the skin and disruption of its protective skin barrier. What to do?
🍃you may need to add a serum plus moisturiser - more hydrating ingredients and more barrier protection
🍃 don’t over exfoliate - gentle and a couple of times a week
🍃 book a facial and get some skin advice while you relax
🍃 make SPF 50 part of your everyday routine + add protective hats/clothing

What to do?
Spring is a great time to check your brightening routine as UV exposure increases as days become brighter, we head outdoors more and we may forget about incidental Sun exposure.
Daily SPF is essential!
Cleanse without stripping.
Hydrate before moisturiser.
Make sure your moisturiser is not too heavy .
Use SPF every day. (We deliberately repeated that 😊)

The outpouring of grief worldwide for the death of Dolly Parton has made us stop and consider how this woman from such a humble background came to be loved by so many.
Yes everyone (including Dolly herself) commented on her appearance but she unapologetically maintained this until the end and why not?
💗She had a heart as big as her beautiful smile, was accepting and encouraging to everyone she met
💗she was a philanthropist who donated millions of her own money to causes she believed in
💗a advocate for women’s rights, gay rights, children’s literacy and anyone struggling
💗a champion and supporter of up and coming musicians
💗a prolific songwriter and recording artist
💗she had an amazingly positive outlook on life and wicked sense of humour
💗she made some very funny, sometimes self deprecating and always wise quotes
💗and she was KIND 💕
It seems she had a way of connecting with everyone and lived to the beat of her own drum.
What an amazing woman!
