A new face in the chair and their first time with Gaia’s Dreadlocks 💜
Working on long, well-established locks is always something special. There’s a story already woven into them, years of growth, patience, and care. Being trusted to step in and continue that journey is something I don’t take lightly.
This session focused on root maintenance, supporting healthy growth from the foundation. Carefully separating, tightening, and bringing everything back into balance so the locks can continue to mature cleanly and naturally.

The nape can often be one of the more delicate areas, so this visit was all about maintaining structure, and ensuring everything continues to lock in evenly and naturally.
Each dread was gently separated, supported, and guided back into place, helping the overall set feel more balanced and resilient.

✨ Maintenance & End Tucking ✨
A beautiful maintenance session focused on refreshing the roots and refining the overall look of this set.
Originally, the ends were left loose to create the appearance of extra length and a softer finish. Over time, the decision was made to transition them into a more complete, rounded look — so during this session, we tucked in the loose ends to form neat, sealed tips.
This not only gives the dreads a fuller, more mature appearance, but also helps with longevity and structure as they continue to develop.
Each dread was carefully separated, tightened where needed, and guided back into alignment, with extra attention given to the ends to ensure a clean and consistent finish throughout.

Both of these journeys started here with Gaia’s Dreadlocks. One is experiencing dreadlocks for the very first time, while the other returned to them after having dreads in the past. Seeing them come back for maintenance, loving their locks and trusting me to care for them as they grow, is something I truly appreciate.
